Ecarx Holdings (ECX) will invest $23 million in Lotus Technology (LOT) through a private placement in a bid to deepen their partnership, the companies said Monday.

Ecarx will subscribe for 16,788,321 newly issued Lotus shares at $1.37 each.

The companies expect the investment to close within 30 days following the execution of the subscription agreement.
