Crocs' Wholesale Challenges Seen Weighing on Growth -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1339 ET - Crocs' wholesale business will likely continue to pose headwinds in 2026, putting Wall Street's growth assumptions at risk, Baird analysts say in a note. Consensus estimates look too high for the footwear company's North America business in the first half of the year given its channel mix shifts heavily toward wholesale during that period compared to the fourth quarter, which is largely driven by direct-to-consumer sales, the analysts say. Given ongoing wholesale challenges, as well as plans to gradually ramp units behind newer products, Crocs likely won't be able to materially change its overall revenue trajectory until the middle of the second quarter when it laps an initial tariff-related pullback and direct-to-consumer promotions, they say.
