Shree Cement (NSE:SHREECEM, BOM:500387) said it has received a GST demand order from the Deputy Commissioner, State Tax, Special Circle, Patna, Bihar, according to a Saturday filing.
The order relates to a tax demand of 149.3 million Indian rupees, along with interest of 91.8 million rupees and a penalty of 14.9 million rupees, the filing said.
The demand is about valuation issues and excess input tax credit (ITC) availed, the company said in the filing.
Shree Cement shares fell nearly 1% in Monday's trade.
