European Equities Traded in US as ADRs Rise in Tuesday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts rose on Tuesday morning with the S&P Europe Select ADR Index climbing 0.6% to 1,735.19.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by semiconductor contract manufacturing and design company STMicroelectronics (STM) and biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies (DBVT), which rose 6.6% and 4.5% respectively.

They were followed by pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk (NVO), which added 4.4%.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by software company SAP (SAP) and clinical-stage biotechnology company Abivax (ABVX), which fell 2.3% and 2.2% respectively.

They were followed by financial services company BBVA (BBVA), which was down 1.3%.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical and biotech companies GSK (GSK) and AstraZeneca (AZN), which rose 4.7% and 4.3% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by Mereo BioPharma (MREO) and Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which dropped nearly 14% and 3.5% respectively.
