Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion (VLRS), or Volaris, the ultra-low-cost carrier, said its available seat miles and revenue passenger miles for December rose 9.5% and 5.1%, respectively.

According to its December preliminary traffic results, local RPMs grew 1.3%, while international RPMs rose 10.7%. The consolidated load factor fell to 84.1% from 87.6% a year ago, the company said.

The company said it transported nearly 3 million passengers in December.
