Shares of Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) inched up in recent Wednesday trade, while Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) fell past 3%, as global copper prices surged to record highs on the London Metal Exchange amid supply concerns, a US import rush, and a renewed risk-on mood in financial markets.
Copper prices rose 1.6% to settle at $13,195.50 a ton on the London Metal Exchange.
