Thomson Medical (SGX:A50) appointed Tong Kooi Ong as board chairman, effective Feb. 1, according to a Monday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Tong will succeed Ng Ser Miang, who is stepping down on Jan. 31 after serving in the role for a decade.

Tong is currently the executive chairman of Avarga (SGX:X5N).
