0205 GMT - TSMC's 2-nanometer chips seem to have strong growth potential, Citi analysts say in a research note. After going into mass production in 4Q 2025, the 2-nanometer chips could contribute 20% of TSMC's revenue in 2H and have "substantial upside potential in 2027," the analysts say. They expect the chip maker to guide for 20%-25% USD-based revenue growth in 2026. With continued expansion in advanced node and advanced package, Citi expects TSMC's capex to near US$50 billion in 2026. "Considering TSMC's solid order visibility and strong position in leading edge advanced packaging, we expect TSMC's revenue to reach US$300bn or higher in 2030," they note. Citi maintains a buy call on TSMC and raises its target price to NT$2,450.00 from NT$1,800.00. Shares last at NT$1,695.00. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
