Electronic technology shares gained the most on New Zealand's Exchange, rising 24% by midday Monday.
Rakon (NZE:RAK) was the best performer in the sector, rising 50% in recent trade.
The company on Monday said it received a takeover notice from Bourns, indicating the US-based electronics firm's intention to acquire all of the company's shares and its outstanding employee share rights for cash consideration of NZ$1.55 each.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector shares fell almost 1%.
SkyCity Entertainment Group (NZE:SKC, ASX:SKC) was down almost 2% in recent trade.
