Apple (AAPL) has been warned by India that it will continue with an antitrust case against the company by the end of next week if the US tech giant fails to respond to officials investigating its App store, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a confidential Dec. 31 document.

Apple is being accused of attempting to undermine the investigation by delaying responses to the inquiry, the report said.

The commission said Apple has filed numerous requests for extensions since October 2024 instead of answering the allegations, the report said.

Apple has said it could be fined as much as $38 billion in the Competition Commission of India case alleging that abused its monopoly position on its App store, the report said.

Apple did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
