Palantir Technologies (PLTR) is facing claims from three former employees that its lawsuit against their startup is an attempted "scare tactic," Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing a court filing.
The data analytics firm reportedly asked a judge to bar Percepta co-founder Hirsh Jain from working at the artificial intelligence startup or for its venture capital backer for one year.
Palantir alleged the three employees stole intellectual property and planned to recruit its top developers, although the defendants stated that no employees named in internal emails actually joined the new firm, according to the report.
Lawyers for the former employees argued that the company's non-compete clauses are overbroad and unenforceable, the news outlet said.
Palantir Technologies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
