NexGen Energy (ASX:NXG) expanded the high-grade uranium footprint at its Patterson Corridor East discovery in Canada and launched a 45,500-meter exploration campaign for the year, highlighting growth potential at depth and across its southwest Athabasca land package, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The main high-grade subdomain at Patterson has grown 23% to 412 meters vertically over 210 meters of strike, with the total mineralized footprint now reaching 700 meters vertically and 620 meters along strike, and a new high-grade zone found at about 850 meters depth, showing further potential, per the filing.

The company is launching its largest-ever Patterson campaign for the year, with 42,000 meters of drilling aimed at expanding high-grade zones and testing regional step-outs, along with an inaugural 3,500 meters at its wholly owned SW3 property to investigate high-priority greenfield targets, the filing added.
