Consumer stocks were mixed premarket Thursday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) down 0.5% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) 0.4% higher.

Fresh Del Monte Produce (FDP) and B&G Foods (BGS) are among the successful bidders in a court-supervised auction for the assets and business operations of Del Monte Foods Corporation II, which is undergoing a Chapter 11 process, the food company said. Shares of Fresh Del Monte Produce and B&G Foods were up more than 1% pre-bell.
