Projects signed under China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) across signatory countries reached $213.5 billion in 2025, the strongest performance since its 2013 launch, according to a Tuesday press release by the Griffith Asia Institute.
Of the amount, $128.4 billion was for construction projects, and $85.2 billion was for investments, according to the report.
Energy projects dominated BRI activity at 43%, reaching $93.9 billion, the report said.
Cumulative investment in the initiative reached nearly $1.4 trillion, the report by Australia-based Griffith University said.
