Mongolian Mining (HKG:0975) reported a 12% quarter-on-quarter increase in washed coking coal production to 2.35 million tonnes for the fourth quarter, with output 13% higher on a year on year basis, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Sales of washed coking coal rose 12% on the quarter to 2.58 million tonnes and up 37% from last year.
Run-of-mine (ROM) coal production totaled around 4 million tonnes, up 10% from the third quarter and 8% from a year earlier.
The company processed nearly 3.9 million tonnes of ROM coking coal, a 3% rise quarter over quarter, though down 2% on a yearly basis.
