Iamgold Expects Midpoint Gold Production in 2025 after Strong 4Q -- Commodity Comment

Iamgold said that it expects to reach the midpoint of its production guidance for 2025 after preliminary data showed strong contribution from the fourth quarter, and set its targets for 2026.

On production:

The miner said 2025 gold production is expected to come in at 765,900 ounces.

Iamgold credits strong quarterly production at all of its operations, including at Cote Gold in northeastern Ontario, which achieved the top end of its guidance targets.

Cote Gold produced is expected to have produced 87,200 attributable ounces in the fourth quarter and 279,900 attributable ounces in 2025.

The company said Westwood in Quebec produced 37,900 ounces in the fourth quarter for a total of 113,900 ounces in 2025.

Essakane in Burkina Faso produced attributable production of 117,300 ounces in the fourth quarter and 372,100 ounces in the year.

On preliminary financial results:

Iamgold said that it expects record revenues in 2025 for the sale of 817,800 ounces of gold at an average realized gold price of about $3,480 per ounce.

Fourth quarter gold sales were 259,000 ounces at an average realized gold price of $4,190 per ounce.

On outlook:

The company expects to produce between 720,000 to 820,000 ounces in 2026, as operations at Cote Gold ahead of the expansion plans to be announced in the fourth quarter.
