Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) staked 427 additional lode claims, for a total area of around 35.7 square kilometers, to the north and south of the existing Maverick Springs silver-gold project in Nevada, growing the total project landholding by 219%, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The expansion followed its 2024 and 2025 drilling programs and was designed to cover prospective extensions of known mineralization to the north and south of the current mineral resource.
Its shares climbed over 6% in early trading on Monday, reaching an all-time peak.
