European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Fall in Tuesday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking lower late Tuesday morning, declining 1.17% to 1,742.51 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech firm Evaxion (EVAX) and pharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND), which advanced 4.6% and 1.3%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT) and oil and gas company TotalEnergies (TTE), which 1.8% and 1.3%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by medical device maker EDAP TMS (EDAP) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS), which shed 11.3% and 4.6%, respectively. They were followed by internet browser company Opera (OPRA) and accommodations booking site trivago (TRVG), which dropped 4.6% and 2.3%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and educational publisher Pearson (PSO), which increased 4% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by lender Lloyds Banking Group (LYG) and telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), which were up 0.7% and 0.2% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO) and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca (AZN), which fell 8.2% and 4.3% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company NuCana (NCNA) and biotech firm Trinity Biotech (TRIB), which lost 3.3% and 1%, respectively.
