The agents involved in Saturday's shooting of Alex Pretti were wearing body cameras, which produced video of the shooting from multiple angles, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed on Monday.

Body-worn cameras have become an issue in the fight Congress is having over funding DHS. Currently, the funding proposal-which Democrats have now vowed to block-contains $20 million for ICE to wear body-worn cameras, an increase over current funding levels. Administration officials requested that amount be lower, a demand Democrats refused, according to two people familiar with the matter. Though Republicans in Congress agreed to the increased funding for body-worn cameras, they wouldn't agree to make wearing a camera mandatory for officers, according to a Democratic aide involved in the discussions.
