Suzlon Energy (NSE:SUZLON, BOM:532667) has bagged a 248.85 MW wind energy order from ArcelorMittal Group through its renewable energy unit in India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The contract is for supplying 79 S144 wind turbine generation systems with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each.
The order is part of the 550 MW hybrid project in Gujarat, India, where the wind order has been awarded to Suzlon for captive use for ArcelorMittal Nippon's steel facilities in India.
The company's shares were up nearly 3% in recent trade.
