Corning (GLW) said Tuesday that it has signed up to a $6 billion deal to supply Meta (META) with optical fiber, cable, and connectivity services and products in support of data center buildouts for the tech giant.
As part of the agreement, Corning said it will expand its manufacturing at its North Carolina operations, including a "significant" capacity expansion at its optical cable manufacturing facility in Hickory, North Carolina, where Meta will be the anchor customer.
Shares of Corning rose more than 7% pre-bell.
