Stocks to Watch Wednesday: Nvidia, SoftBank -- WSJ

Nvidia (NVDA): China has approved purchases of Nvidia's popular H200 chip for the first time, giving authorization to several customers, including Alibaba (BABA, HK:9988). Nvidia shares rose in premarket trading, as did Alibaba's stock in Hong Kong.

SoftBank (JP:9984): The Japanese conglomerate is in talks to invest up to $30 billion more in OpenAI, adding to its already large stake. SoftBank shares rose 3.7%.

Coupang $(CPNG)$: The Trump administration warned Seoul not to target technology companies, with recent discussions involving Coupang, The Wall Street Journal reported. The U.S.-based e-commerce company does nearly all its business in South Korea. Shares rose nearly 2% in New York premarket trade.

Corning $(GLW)$: Shares jumped 5% premarket, on track to extend Tuesday's rally that followed the company striking an up-to $6 billion deal to sell fiber-optic cable to Meta Platforms (META).
