Singapore's manufacturing output increased 8.3% year-on-year in December 2025, backed by increased outputs from several clusters, according to data from EDB Singapore on Monday.
Excluding the volatile biomedical sector, industrial production rose 16% on year, with the volatile biomedical cluster's output declining 38.8% from a year ago.
Output increased in transport engineering, electronics, and precision engineering clusters, while general manufacturing remained unchanged during the month and the chemicals cluster slipped 1.6%, the data showed.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, output fell 13.3% in December. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output was down 4.9%, it said.
