Teck Resources (TECK) acquisition by UK's Anglo American has been cleared by the European Commission, the regulator said Friday.

The deal relates to the copper mining and production sector, the regulator said.

The commission said it concluded that the acquisition would not raise competition concerns because of the companies' limited market positions.
