Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT) said the issue of sulfuric acid availability will most likely delay achieving full month steady-state uranium production at its Kayelekera uranium mine in Malawi of around 200,000 pounds per month, which is now forecast to occur in the June quarter, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The commissioning of the acid plant remains on schedule to occur in March.
It began deliveries that are expected to alleviate sulfuric acid supply issues and support the ramp up of the mine to steady-state production in the coming months.
