Iondrive (ASX:ION) said initial bench-scale laboratory screening, designed to assess the performance of its IONSolv metal extraction platform, achieved greater than 85% silver extraction efficiency under controlled conditions, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The early optimization work utilized small laboratory aliquots, between 10 milligrams (mg) and 100mg of metallic silver, and the results established a preliminary performance baseline.

It plans to conduct trials on mechanically prepared end-of-life photovoltaic feedstock supplied by Livium (ASX:LIT).
