Shares of laser-maker nLIGHT were lower after its common stock public offering was priced.

Its stock sank 10% to $44.94 in premarket trading Wednesday.

The company said its offering of 3.98 million shares was priced at $44 apiece, with expected gross proceeds of about $175 million.

nLIGHT said it has granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 596,590 shares, excluding underwriting discounts and commissions.

The company said it plans to use proceeds for working capital, capital expenditures and other general corporate purposes, and the offering is expected to close on Thursday.
