Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) said a 43-hole, around 3,600-meter infill and extensional reverse circulation drilling at Metzke's Find, part of the Illaara gold project in Western Australia, returned significant intercepts at shallower depths than previously drilled, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of six meters at 8.9 grams per tonne grade of gold from 117 meters, as well as 10 meters at 1.5 g/t grade of gold from 20 meters. The drilling also provided material for
metallurgical test work.
The identification of a parallel structure during the drilling provides further resource expansion opportunities, which will be drilled in February or March, the firm's managing director, Dean Tuck said.
