Barton Gold Holdings (ASX:BGD) said water bore drilling started at the Tunkillia gold project in South Australia in a program totaling around 900 meters of drilling for preliminary water testing, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
A planned second phase mineral resource upgrade reverse circulation drilling for around 28,000 meters is expected to start as planned in March, while an around 3,000 meters of diamond drilling program is planned to run in parallel with reverse circulation drilling, the filing said.
The company's shares fell nearly 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
