MISC (KLSE:MISC) secured a letter of award from PETRONAS LNG for long-term time charters of three newbuild LNG carriers.

The firm charters periods are 20 years, starting in 2029, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.

The company has also signed shipbuilding contracts with Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for the construction of the vessels, which will be operated through MISC's units.

The project supports PETRONAS' LNG growth, aligns with its vessel rejuvenation program, it added.
