Chongqing Changan Automobile's (SHE:000625) electric vehicle brand Deepal topped sales in the EV sector in Israel in January, Xinhua News Agency reported Monday, citing the Israel Vehicle Importers Association.

Deepal sold 636 electric cars during the month, the report said.

BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) ranked second with 563 vehicle sales across eight models, and XPeng (HKG:9868) is third with 506 cars sold, the report said.

China-made cars comprised 85% of all EVs sold in Israel in January, the report said.
