Jindalee Lithium's (ASX:JLL) HiTech Minerals subsidiary signed a letter of understanding with the Oregon Building Trades Unions for the McDermitt project located on the Oregon-Nevada border, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The union has committed to negotiating a binding project labor agreement with the company, requiring all construction work in the union's jurisdiction to be carried out by union labor, the filing said.

Shares rose 4% in morning trade on Thursday.
