Kuaishou Upgrades Kling to Make More Realistic, Complex AI Videos

Kuaishou Technology is doubling down on its lead in the global artificial-intelligence video generation race, upgrading its ability to handle more lifelike characters and complex scenes.

The updated model, Kling 3.0, has a maximum video duration of 15 seconds, up from the previous model's 10 seconds. It can also generate native audio, allowing different characters to speak naturally in multiple languages and accents, according to a statement on Thursday.

For example, users can ask the model to generate three different characters who speak different languages in the same video, which was challenging for the pervious version.

The new model is available to some subscribers and will soon be available to the public.

Citi said in a research note that it expects Kling to record robust revenue growth in 2026. The analysts raised Kuaishou's target price to 95.00 Hong Kong dollars, equivalent to $12.16, from HK$88.00, to factor in Kling's decent momentum. Kuaishou's shares closed at HK$73.00.

Kling competes with Google's Veo and OpenAI's Sora globally, while start-ups like China's MiniMax also offer products that generate AI videos.
