1254 ET - Fed governor Philip Jefferson has a term as the central bank's vice chair that runs until 2027. But his term as a governor extends far beyond that, until 2036. In an appearance at the Brookings Institution in Washington, Jefferson declined to specify whether he plans to stay on as a governor beyond 2027. "I am completely focused right now on that job that I have," Jefferson says in response to a question about his plans. Kevin Warsh's nomination to lead the Fed after Chair Jerome Powell's term ends in May has elevated attention on the makeup of the Fed's policy committee. (matt.grossman@wsj.com; @mattgrossman)
