1254 ET - Fed governor Philip Jefferson has a term as the central bank's vice chair that runs until 2027. But his term as a governor extends far beyond that, until 2036. In an appearance at the Brookings Institution in Washington, Jefferson declined to specify whether he plans to stay on as a governor beyond 2027. "I am completely focused right now on that job that I have," Jefferson says in response to a question about his plans.
