Technology stocks were rising pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) 1.8% higher and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) up 0.7%.

Intel (INTC) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) told Chinese customers they are facing server CPU shortages, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter. Intel stock was up more than 2% and Advanced Micro Devices shares were up more than 3% premarket.

Ubiquiti (UI) shares were up more than 6% after the company reported higher fiscal Q2 non-GAAP net income and revenue.

Strategy (MSTR) stock was up more than 8% after the company overnight posted higher Q4 revenue that also beat analysts' expectations.
