Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Monday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) declining by 0.2%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 0.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.3% higher.
NatWest Group (NWG) shares were down more than 8% after the company said it has agreed to acquire wealth manager Evelyn Partners from funds advised by Permira and Warburg Pincus for an enterprise value of about 2.7 billion British pounds ($3.67 billion).
