Loews Corporation reported higher fourth-quarter revenue, boosted by higher insurance premiums.
The New York-based operator of insurance, energy and hotel businesses posted net income of $402 million, or $1.94 a share, up from $187 million, or 86 cents a share, the year prior.
Revenue rose to $4.73 billion from $4.55 billion, led by the company's insurance premiums, with its revenue increasing to $2.8 billion from $2.68 billion.
