Trimble forecasts upbeat annual profit, revenue on strong software demand

Feb 10 (Reuters) - Trimble TRMB.O forecast annual revenue and earnings above Wall Street estimates on Tuesday, banking on a demand boost from its strategy of bundling navigation products with software solutions for industries such as construction and transportation.

Shares of the Westminster, Colorado-based company rose 3.4% in premarket trading

Trimble has been shifting from a hardware-driven to a software-services-focused model, aiming to derive consistent recurring revenue even during economic downturns.

It has also benefited from its "connect-to-scale" strategy, designed to link hardware, software and cloud solutions across the construction, geospatial and transportation sectors.

Trimble expects total revenue of $3.81 billion to $3.91 billion for 2026, the midpoint of which is above analysts' expectations of $3.83 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.

First-quarter revenue is expected at $893 million to $918 million, the midpoint of which is above estimates of $897.5 million.

Annual adjusted earnings per share is forecast to be between $3.42 and $3.62, the midpoint of which is above estimates of $3.46.

Broader customer adoption of the company's positioning and correction services, digital construction tools and AI services has also supported growth in recurring revenue.

Annual recurring revenue rose 6% from a year earlier to $2.39 billion at the end of the fourth quarter.

Total fourth-quarter revenue stood at $969.8 million, topping estimates of $950.8 million, while adjusted earnings per share stood at $1, beating estimates of 96 cents.
