Robex Resources (ASX:RXR) achieved commercial production at its Kiniero project in Guinea after the first shipment of about 197 kilograms of gold on Wednesday, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The project met the commercial production criteria under both its senior secured facility agreement with Canada-based Sprott and the Guinea Mining Code, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 6% in morning trade Thursday.
