BP Expands US EV Charging Network With Seven New Sites -- OPIS

BP Pulse has added seven new electric vehicle charging locations across California, Georgia, Illinois and Florida, expanding its presence at fuel stations and truckstops, the company said recently.

Four of the new sites are at TravelCenters of America locations, putting BP nearly halfway toward its goal of 40 TA sites first announced a year ago. The new sites also include Arco and Thorntons stations.

Most of the new locations feature 12 charging bays equipped with ultra-fast chargers rated up to 400 kW and are co-located with amenities such as convenience stores, restaurants, restrooms and ATMs.

Across the U.S., BP Pulse chargers are located at travel centers and fuel retailers along major highways. The network also includes large airport hubs in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston.

BP has previously said it plans to invest $1 billion in U.S. EV charging infrastructure by 2030 and to deploy 3,000 charge points by 2025. Publicly available data indicates BP currently operates fewer than 700 charging locations nationwide.
