Singapore Exchange's (SGX:S68) turnover value surged 66% year over year in January to SG$34.6 billion, with securities daily average up 58% to SG$1.65 billion, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Derivatives total traded volume surged 34% year over year to 32.1 million contract, which was the highest since March 2020.
Meanwhile, derivatives daily average volume was up 27% year over year to 1.6 million contracts.
Commodities traded volume climbed 54% year over year to 6.8 million contracts, backed by gains across iron ore, petrochemicals, freight and rubber deliveries.
