Astron (ASX:ATR) executed a journey and understanding agreement with Barengi Gadjin Land Council in relation to the Donald project joint venture in Victoria, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The agreement outlines a framework for a long-term partnership with the traditional owners of the land within the project's mining license area, the filing said.

Astron shares rose past 2% in morning trade Monday.
