Enegex (ASX:ENX) said it plans around 3,000 meters of air core drilling to follow up the results from earlier auger drilling and historical vertical air core drilling at the Tougbe project in Ivory Coast, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company added that power auger drilling at the Gogo permit gold-in-soil anomalies returned high-grade results, including 9 meters at 1.4 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold to end-of-hole.

A reverse circulation drilling campaign is planned to start in March at the permit to test beneath artisanal workings, auger-defined bedrock anomaly, and gold-anomalous sheared felsic volcanics.

The company's shares were up about 2% in recent Monday trade.
