IGO (ASX:IGO) said 1.35 million tonnes of spodumene concentrates were produced at the Greenbushes lithium project in Western Australia in 2025, from 6.16 million tonnes of ore grading 1.9% of lithium oxide, representing an overall around 22% relative concentrate mass-yield for the year, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The project's mineral resource for 2025 came in at 457 million tonnes of ore grading 1.6% of lithium oxide, representing a 9% increase in contained in situ lithium oxide from 2024, after 2025 mining depletion.

IGO holds a 24.99% interest in Greenbushes through Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia.

It said that the chemical-grade plant 3 is expected to reach nameplate capacity in 2026. Plant debottlenecking will lift combined production during 2027, with total ore processed expected to increase to around 7 million tonnes per annum by 2028. In turn, spodumene concentrate 6% production is expected to peak at just over 2 million tonnes per annum in 2029 and is expected to remain above 1.6 million tonnes per annum through to around 2048.

Its shares rose 3% in recent trading on Thursday.
