Tech stocks fell late Thursday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) decreasing 0.8% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) dropping 1.7%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index declined nearly 1%.

In corporate news, Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI's latest funding round is expected to bring in over $100 billion, Bloomberg reported. Microsoft shares were down 0.6%.
