U.S. natural gas inventories likely saw a close to normal withdrawal last week, with lingering cold weather in parts of the country tempering the overall loss of weather-driven demand.

Natural gas in underground storage is expected to have fallen by 152 billion cubic feet to 2,062 Bcf in the week ended Feb. 13, according to the average estimate of 11 analysts, brokers and traders in a Wall Street Journal survey.

The expected decline is similar to the five-year average withdrawal for the week of 151 Bcf, and would leave total storage 131 Bcf below the five-year average.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration is scheduled to report weekly natural gas inventories on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. EST.
