Shares of materials firms jumped 2% at midday Tuesday, led by BHP Group (ASX:BHP), whose shares reached an all-time high after the company reported its fiscal first-half results.
BHP reported fiscal first-half underlying earnings of $1.222 per basic share, up from $1.002 a year earlier.
On the flip side, the information technology sector dropped nearly 2%.
Hansen Technologies (ASX:HSN) partnered with a retail energy community choice consulting firm to replace the firm's legacy processes with workflows.
