Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE) said exploration drilling at the Monte Alto rare earths project in Brazil returned high-grade rare earths grades of up to over 35% total rare earth oxide (TREO), according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company completed 207 drill holes at the project for a total of 32,372 meters and encountered intersections of 21.3 meters at more than 16% grade of TREO from 52.7 meters and 5.5 meters at about 21% grade of TREO from 97 meters.
The assays include up to 10,498 parts per million (ppm) or 1.7% grade of niobium oxide, 303 ppm grade of scandium oxide, 612 ppm grade of tantalum oxide, and 4,047 ppm grade of uranium oxide.
Brazilian Rare Earths' shares rose past 6% in recent trading on Wednesday.
