Vertex Minerals (ASX:VTX) secured exploration license 9868, known as the "Dun Dun" workings in New South Wales, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Historic gold workings are situated at "Dun Dun," with the prospect defined by five gold-bearing quartz veins, the filing said.

Shares fell nearly 8% in afternoon trade on Tuesday and earlier hit their lowest since December 2024.
