Eurozone Government Bond Markets Expected to Stay 'Constructive' -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

0650 GMT - The constructive momentum in eurozone rates markets should remain intact amid a light data calendar and limited long-end government bond issuance, Commerzbank's Erik Liem says in a note. "Bond markets remain constructive," the rates strategist says. Bunds experienced another rangebound session on Monday, he says, with the 10-year Bund yield closing near 2.75%. Tuesday's data includes Germany's ZEW economic sentiment index which is expected to show improvement in both current conditions and expectations in February, according to the Wall Street Journal's poll. Scheduled issuance will come from Germany, which auctions 6 billion euros in March 2028 Schatz, and from Finland, which offers 1.5 billion euros in September 2035- and April 2041-dated bonds.
